Hello Weddings and Events

THE AMERICAN FAIRYTALE

Caroline & Reda

Once upon a time on a Friday night in Philadelphia, Reda and Caroline attended the same social event at the Barnes Art Museum. Reda noticed the stunning blonde as soon as she walked in. She, on the other hand, was making a beeline for the art exhibit and didn’t see him or his bright pink suit!

Later that evening, while she was chatting passionately to a guest about the exhibition, someone tapped Caroline on the shoulder; it was the man in the pink suit who had noticed her earlier. They got chatting with each other and the sparks flew. They quickly set their first date. Reda gave Caroline the challenge of guessing where he was from (which she later found out was a regularly used pick-up line) to his surprise one of her three guesses was Morocco.

Reda and Caroline continued to see one another regularly. Before long, they were inseparable. They travelled together, met each others’ friends and family, and eventually moved in together.

In November 2021, Reda and Caroline travelled to Marrakech to attend a friend’s wedding. After the weekend,  they had a little getaway planned to Marrakech’s Agafay Desert. They packed the day with  ATV & camel ride adventures.  The couple then hiked to the top of the highest dune to watch the sunset. As Caroline turned around to pet the local desert stray dog, Reda  pulled out the ring he’d carefully selected to ask her to marry him. Before he could even get the words out, Caroline proclaimed “YES!” to which Reda replied, “I didn’t ask anything yet!”.

We can’t thank you & all our vendors enough for making our wedding day perfect! It was everything we dreamed of and more!

Caroline (Bride) & Reda (Groom)

The Wedding Preparation

The bride and groom wanted their guests to experience their love for Morocco and add a nod to modern America, where they reside and first set eyes on each other. Throughout the celebrations, they wanted inclusive, fun and colourful decor.  The groom wanted Blue as one of the main colours to incorporate into the wedding theme. With this in mind, we got to work and designed a picturesque wedding arch to fit seamlessly within the botanic lush gardens of Palais Ronsard.

The star of the arrangement was the Hortensia flower, a genus of over 75 species of flowering plants native to Asia and the Americas. Two carefully selected cerulean and sky blue variations were used amidst orange, ruby and white roses that were carefully placed in a  generous lush of green to create a dynamic arch (and personal favourite).

The wedding reception was at the famous Basin area of the Palais Ronsard. We emptied the basin on both sides so that we could build the centrepiece in the middle of it. We were able to design this so that it could be used as a stage and dance floor at the centre of all the tables. This created an outstanding and one-of-a-kind layout for all the couple’s loved ones to be able to look up adoringly at their idyllic first dance.

The reception dinner was interrupted by the pitter-patter of rain. Always prepared for this unlikely visitor (even in Morocco). We were able to swiftly move the dinner inside and continue the party until dawn. Nothing could stop this couple and their exhilarated family and friends from having the time of their lives at this unforgettable fairytale wedding.

Rain at a wedding signifies good luck and that the marriage will last! Though it was clear to anyone present that the beaming, laughing and dancing newlyweds won’t need any ‘signs of luck’ for their very own happily ever after, only each other.
